Ms Corona 🦠 tried hard to put a stop to all our plans for 2020... but we‘re excited to announce that we‘ll be back publishing more reviews tomorrow!

We partnered with Into Games 🎮 on a project to create new pathways into games journalism.

7 budding young women + non-binary writers took part in a day of workshops to help define their critical voice (swipe ➡️ for memes), before writing their own piece of games journalism with guidance from a professional mentor.

Set your alarms for 9:30am tomorrow morning + head to our website to read their reviews. ⏰

How are you feeling this morning? No, how are you *really* feeling? Stop for a second and have a think.

Too often we gloss over this question with a ‘fine’, ‘okay’ or ‘good’ when the truth can be way more complex. We believe a good critic needs to understand their feelings and connect with them, in order to be able to write about them. ✍🏽🧠

We ask our critics to look inwards.👀👀👀 When they’re writing their reviews they should always be asking themselves ‘How did this make me feel? And why?’

The world of arts and culture is overwhelmingly white and middle class. It’s no wonder so many young people don’t see themselves represented there. We want to see an industry that is diverse, inclusive and accessible for all.
